Darlene "Toby" Wall, 94, of Milan, passed away Thursday November 17, 2022 at Rock River Hospice and Home, Sterling IL.

Private burial will take place in Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock River Hospice and Home, 2706 Avenue E, Sterling, IL 61081.

Darlene was born on June 16, 1928 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Lee and Goldie (Smith) Nelson. She married Donald Wall on Jan. 26, 1946, in Davenport.

Toby loved reading, the arts and growing flowers.  She had also been very active as a volunteer in Milan through the years.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald in 2004 and her daughter, Cheryl Derr in 2021.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Candy and Steven Arnold, son in law, David Derr; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
