Darlene V. Isaacson, 84, of Sherrard, died Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Genesis Senior Living, Aledo.  Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Burial will be at Preemption Cemetery, Preemption, IL.  Memorials may be made in care of Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island.

Darlene was born in Preemption on July 15, 1932, a daughter of Melvin and Margaret Anderson Zude.  She graduated from Sherrard High School.  Darlene married Kenneth Isaacson on August 29, 1953 at the Preemption Methodist Church.

Darlene delivered newspapers for the Argus/Dispatch, worked at the Rock Island Arsenal and was a homemaker.

Darlene believed in our Lord and was a member at Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island.  She enjoyed flowers, gardening, antiquing, shopping and spending time with family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kenneth Isaacson, Sherrard; children (and spouses), Candace (David) Jones, Boone, Iowa, Brenda (Steven) Curry, Osco, Ill., Kevin (Christine) Isaacson, Andover, Chris (Teresa) Isaacson, Moline and Chad Isaacson, Sherrard; grandchildren, Daniel (Stephanie) Jones, Mary Jones, Amber (Justin) Patton, Nicole (Andrew) Green, Ethan Curry and Seth (Lauren) Isaacson; great-grandchildren, Hailey and April Jones, Oliver Isaacson and Emmett and Noah Green; and a brother-in-law, David (Joan) Isaacson, Rochester, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Wilber and Marvin Zude.
