David Harley Beattie, 56, of Carrollton, TX, formerly of the Quad Cities, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

Private burial with military honors was held at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan assisted the family.

David was born on February 4, 1968 in Moline, IL, a son of Karins Lee Beattie and Sandra Grace Sweet Beattie. He worked as the director of information technology at Choate USA in Carrollton, Texas.

David's hobbies included playing Magic the Gathering and roleplaying medieval warfare with his local Amtgard group.

Those left to cherish David's memory include his mother, Sandra Barr, Lake Orion, Michigan and a host of extended family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his father, Karins Lee Beattie; brother, Carins Lee Beattie; and grandparents, Robert and Eva Beattie.
