David M. Garrison, 63, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island.

A memorial service will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island, where visitation will be one hour prior to services Thursday. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.

David was born March 29, 1953 in Rock Island, a son of Leonard and Irene Bowser Garrison. He married Mary "Kathy" Herdt on February 12, 1972 in Rock Island.

David retired from the Rock Island Arsenal following 40 years of service.

He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, traveling and going on cruises.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy, of Rock Island; children (and spouses), Crystal (Chris) Cutkomp, Davina Garrison (Gino Miller), all of Rock Island, and Amber (Morris) Biddle, East Moline; grandchildren, David Cantu, Jaxon Cutkomp, Jalen Miller, Rilen Miller, Quentin Sharp and Kyndel Biddle; mother, Irene Garrison, Rock Island; sister, Dianna Garrison, Rock Island; brothers, Douglas (Christine) Garrison, Sr. and Daniel (Elainea) Garrison, all of Rock Island; and many nieces, nephews, and other family.

David was preceded in death by his father.
