David Keith Gastel. Not a better man around, contagious laugh, a smile that lit up his face, woodworker, painter and all-around hard worker, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Dave loved his family, who loved him right back. Gone too soon and will be missed by many. Mucho power Dave. Mucho power.

Survivors include his parents, Kenny and Arvilla Gastel; sister, DeAnna Crouse (Mike, Breesa, and Tyler); nieces, Kayla and Abby Winfree; Adam Peters; and the entire McGinnis family.

Dave had a special place in his heart for veterans. In lieu of flowers, all memorials can be placed in Dave's name to any veteran's charity. RIP Coach.
