David W. Glasgow, 62, of Moline, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Knox Chapel of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 2106 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Memorials may be made to the family.
David was born on July 26, 1955 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Charles "Jobbie" E. Glasgow and Wanda Mae Bryant. He married Vickie Griffin on November 10, 1994 in Rock Island, their biggest blessing were their kids and grandkids. David worked as a retail manager at Family Dollar.
David will be remembered by his will to fight and how he touched many lives going through dialysis for over 30 years. He was loved by everybody he knew. David enjoyed working on cars, remodeling houses, and doing yardwork on sunny days. His greatest joy was raising his children and watching them and his grandchildren grow up. He also loved going on weekend trips and joyrides around town.
David is survived by his wife, Vickie Glasgow, Moline; sons, David (Brandy) Andrews, Moline, Randall (Morgan) Glasgow, Durant, IA, Nicholas (Alexis) Glasgow, Moline, Chad (Jaime) Glasgow, Elk City, OK, and Adam Glasgow, Elk City, OK; grandchildren, Lewis, Quinten, Noah, Marissa, Aleigha, Kayla, Lane, Dustin, Makayla, and Heather; one great grandchild on the way; mother and step-father, Wanda and Ivan Glasgow-Daubenburger, Springdale, AR; siblings, Mike (Patty) Glasgow, Springdale, AR, Chuck (Susan) Glasgow, MO, Jeff (Teresa) Glasgow, Bettenville, AR, Billy (Danette) Glasgow, Springdale, AR, Rick (Sherry) Glasgow, Keokuk, IA, and Marla (Bill) Andrews, Lowell, AR; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles "Jobbie" Glasgow; sister, Debbie; grandparents; and nephew, Derrick.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Motto and the staff at the Dialysis Clinic in Davenport. Also, to the staff at OSF St. Francis Medical Center for the great care he received in their care.
