David L. Griffin, 75, of Milan, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at his home. Services for Mr. Griffin will be 11 am, Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Moline American Legion Post 246. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Milan Lions Club or the Lions of Illinois Foundation.

David Lee Griffin was born on December 26, 1946 in Moline, a son of Elmer and Connie (Miles) Griffin. He married Rita Hill on March 16, 1974 in Milan. David was a logistics analyst at the Rock Island Arsenal. He later worked as a consultant for Hancock Management, retiring in 2011. Dave was a 40 year member of the Milan Lions Club and was a past president. He was a Melvin Jones Fellow. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, road trips, and the Chicago Bears. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Rita; children, Sherry Reynolds, Bettendorf, Brett (Abby) Griffin, Springfield, Missouri, and Kara Griffin, Milan; grandchildren, Lexy, Jack, Jon, Emmett, and Vance.

David was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Ronald Griffin.
