David B. Nelson, 56 of Pleasant Valley, Iowa, passed away Thursday September 4, 2025 at St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehab, Rock Island.

There are no services planned at this time. His ashes will be laid to rest in Pleasant Valley.

David was born on August 7, 1969 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Walter and Cora (Waite) Nelson. He lived in Pleasant Valley for most of his life and been employed as a Master Plumber for several years.

He is survived by his 4 children, Nick, Brian, Kaitlyn and Annebelle; and his siblings, Linda Fisher, Davenport, Donna Small, Florida, Dana Nelson, Minnesota and close friend, Kurtis Weichmann.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Cora; sisters, Dawn Turner Nelson from Davenport and Sharon Hansen from Muscatine.

Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears

in a place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing that we could know today

how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.
