David Edward Schomer, 59, of Rock Island, formerly of Arizona, passed away Thursday May 29, 2025 at his home.

Services will be at a later date.

David was born on June 24, 1965 in Rock Island, the son of Henry and Patricia Schomer. He was later adopted by his uncle and aunt, John and Matilda (Brooks) Schomer. He was a graduate of Rock Island High School and later married Robin Vanatta and had lived in Arizona. He had been employed at a water bottling facility during his time in Arizona.

Survivors include his wife, Robin; children, Kimberly and Matthew; 3 grandchildren; siblings, Bob, Jack, Johnny, Mike, Evelyn, Bonnie, Barb, Cindy, Joyce, Tammy, Tina, Kathy, Becky and Carla; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his adopted parents and brother, Morgan.
