David G. Walker, 56, of Reynolds, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer.  A funeral service for David will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 801 W. Edgington St., Reynolds.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Per David's wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

David was born on June 23, 1961 in Moline, a son of Robert Sr. and Myrtle Kepple Walker.  He married his high school sweetheart, Joanne Cralle on June 2, 1984 in Rock Island.  David worked as a Systems Analyst at Data Systems, Inc. for nearly 30 years.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, boating, camping, target shooting and taking vacations on the lake.  He was a longtime member and strong advocate for the NRA.  David also enjoyed tinkering with motors and fixing things.  He took great pride in his accomplishments as a member of local AA and NA groups.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joanne; daughter, Haylee Walker, Moline; son, Robert Walker, Muscatine, Iowa; sister, Deanna (Chris) Lundburg, Orion; half siblings, Jacqualyn (Jim) O'Leary, Aledo; Kathryn (Mike) Boyle, Biggsville, and James Walker, Milan; mother in law, Dolores Cralle, Rock Island, sister in law, Deanne (Tom) Leingang, Sherrard; brother in law, Jerry (Traci) Cralle, Rock Island and nephews, Brock (Michelle) Shradar, Andrew Lundburg, Nathan Lundburg and Dillon Cralle; as well as many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father in law, Dillon Cralle, and brother, Robert Walker, Jr.

The family would like to thank the staff for Dave's excellent care while at Trinity 4-South, everyone at UIHC 4JPE, especially Hannah, and Hospice Compassus that helped us at home.
