David O. Wilson, 63, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at his residence with his family at his side.

Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan.  Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to his grandchildren's education fund.

David was born on May 8, 1954 in Rock Island, the son of William and Shirley (Leffler) Wilson.  He worked as a laborer at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline.  David was a proud veteran of the United States Army. His memberships include St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan, the Rock Island Conservation Club and the UAW.

David is survived by his mother, Shirley Wilson, Sherrard; children, Leah (Rob) Dolan, Milan, Joshua Wilson, Viola, Kayla Wilson, Milan; grandchildren, Devin, Raina, Jadyn and Lilly in which he cherished dearly.; five sisters and four brothers.
