David Michael Witt, 73, of LeClaire, IA, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at his residence.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to the Quad City Veterans Outreach Center, Davenport.

David was born on April 21, 1948 in Rock Island, the son of Vernon and Hope (Overholt) Witt.  He married Nanette Cooprider on October 6, 1984 in Rock Island.  David worked as the custodian for 1st United Methodist Church (aka Two Rivers United Methodist Church) Rock Island.  He enjoyed reading, history, and listening to folk music.

David is survived by his wife, Nanette Witt; children, Andrew Witt and Amanda (Michael) Deardoff; sister, Sandra (Gerald) Etzel; and multiple nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Patricia Jenkinson and Diane Jorash.
