Dawn J. McKim-Crawford, 68, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at home.

Inurnment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.  All attendees are welcome.

Dawn was born Feb. 16, 1948, in Rock Island to Ike and Lillian (Ende) McKim. She married Marie Glines on Sept. 15, 2014, after a long engagement.

She had been employed at the former Bear Manufacturing and later was the owner and operator of Garrett Frame and Gallery, both of Rock Island.

Dawn was a 1965 graduate of Rock Island High School and had attended Black Hawk College. She loved her Dobermans, renovating older homes, antiquing, working with stained glass and camping with Marie at the Rock Island Conservation Club.

Survivors include her spouse, Marie Glines, her puppies and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Lillian McKim.

I wish to thank you for helping me celebrate Dawn's life.   I did not realize how hard that is to do.  To sum up a life in ways that show a person's talents, abilities, knowledge and experience with respect, honor and pride of living with them or just to know them all those years.  But to celebrate one's life is to remember them.  Thank you for remembering Dawn. - Marie
