Deanna K. Guss, 80, of Moline, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 6, 2021, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Reynolds.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Reynolds Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Deanna was born on October 3, 1940, in Harding, IA, the daughter of Henry and Ethel (Abbott) Schnell.  She married Robert L. Guss Jr. on January 14, 1959.  Deanna worked at the Dispatch newspaper as a rural carrier for 35+ years.  She loved spending time with her family and going to watch them race.

Deanna is survived by her husband, Robert L. Guss Jr., East Moline; sons, Robert (Linda) Guss III, Moline, Michael (Tina) Guss, Brea, CA, and Daniel (Laurie) Guss, Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Shanna, Jaclyn, Anthony, Brenda Le Ann, Amber, Autumn, Erica, Erin, Brandon, and Breanna; sister, Carolyn (Dean) Parker, Moline; and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Michael Guss Jr.; and sisters, Pat Goodnight and Judith Schnell.
