Deborah Sue Dowell, 60, Sherrard, IL passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA. Private services at a later date. Memorials may be made to QC Paws or Grace Presbyterian Church.

Debbie was born on May 15, 1965 to Brian and Sandra (Dierikx) Bollman in Rock Island, IL. After graduating from Moline High School in 1983, she moved to attend the University of South Florida

where she earned a Bachelor's degree in 1992.

On June 24, 1988 she was united in marriage to Jerry Dowell in Southwest Florida. The couple lived there until 1998 when they returned to the area to be closer to family. They made their home and raised their two children near Sherrard on the farm that has been in the family since 1839. Debbie worked several clerical positions until she medically retired.

When her children were young Debbie was a Brownie Leader. Both kids were active in sports and she loved watching their games. She was also an avid dog lover. Her pride and joy was her new grandson, Parker.

She is survived by her father, Brian (Shirley) Bollman; husband, Jerry; children, Darien (Reilly) Dowell and Malia Dowell; grandson, Parker Dowell; brothers, Scott Bollman and Randy (Jessica) Bollman; as well as several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra.
