Deborah J. "Debbie" Jasper, 74, of Milan, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for her friends and relatives on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Memorials may be made to the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation.

Debbie was born April 1, 1950, in Rock Island, to Victor and Bernadine (Boesch) Schaecher. She graduated from Alleman High School in 1968. Debbie married Mark Jasper and to their union two children were born. She loved her family and she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

In spite of her physical limitation, Debbie inspired us with her tenacity, courage, humor, and creativity. No Christmas was complete without her array of gag gifts. She was blessed with a special spirit to make us all laugh. Debbie was a brain tissue donor for the study of Dystonia. She didn't fear death and was looking forward to meeting her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Those left to cherish Debbie's memory include her daughter, Andrea Jasper; son, Aaron (Christy) Jasper; grandchildren, Emma, Brooklyn, and Brody; and siblings, Laurel Jones, Daniel (Marilyn) Schaecher, Sue Stritesky, Mary (Tom) Pearson, Mike (Kim) Schaecher, Kevin (Beth) Schaecher, and Jon (Sue) Schaecher.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; Mark Jasper; sister, Victoria Jasper; and brothers-in-law, Brian Jasper, Chuck Jones, and Ron Stritesky.

Debbie's family would like to thank the staff at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation and Heartland Hospice for the care given to her during her illness.
