ROCK ISLAND – Deborah Marie Lancour, 75, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026, due to congestive heart failure.
Deborah was born on August 29, 1950, in Burlington, Wisconsin, to Edward J. Norris and Vera Iverson. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, creativity, and devotion to her family.
On December 28, 1969, she married the love of her life, Paul Frederick Lancour III. Together they shared 57½ wonderful years of marriage and built a loving home while raising five children: Carolyn, Christopher, Casey, Calvin, and Cassandra.
Deborah was a proud and devoted grandmother to Chasity, Cody, Talon, Paige, Autumn, Katie, Casey, Bella, Jeremy, Derek, Raevyn, and Logan. She was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Edward J. Norris and Vera Iverson, her son, Calvin Lancour, and her brothers and sisters, Ron, Luanne, Lori, Randy, and Ryan.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 57½ years, Paul Frederick Lancour III; her children, Carolyn Lancour, Christopher (Cynthia) Lancour, Casey Lancour, and Cassandra (Shaun) Osborn; her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Deborah worked as a housekeeper at the Playboy Mansion in Wisconsin before later working with Illinois Central, where she assisted individuals with special needs. She took pride in helping others and was known for her kind heart and caring spirit.
She had a deep love for Halloween and looked forward to the season every year, especially enjoying the movies Halloweentown and Hocus Pocus. Deborah loved expressing her creativity through painting, crocheting, and other arts and crafts. Autumn was her favorite season, and she delighted in the beauty of the changing leaves.
Above all else, Deborah’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating memories they will carry with them forever. Her warmth, generosity, laughter, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. in Rock Island, Illinois.
