Obituary

Deborah L. Brower, 70, of Milan, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Liberty Village Assisted Living, Geneseo, IL.  A funeral service will take place at 11 am Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Visitation will be from 9-11 am Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Deborah was born in Moline, Illinois on August 26, 1953, a daughter of Albert and Cleo Gregg Rosson.  She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1971 and Blackhawk College of Nursing in 1992.

Deborah married Kenneth Brower on December 18, 1971 in Rock Island, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on March 16, 2011.

Deborah loved being a nurse.  She was extremely dedicated and passionate about taking care of people. She retired from nursing in 2023.

Deborah also loved her family dearly.  She enjoyed following what they were doing, especially her grandchildren and their sports.  She was very independent and known to many as a "spit fire."  She was never afraid to voice her views.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Kenneth L. (Melissa) Brower II and Kevin L. (Jackie) Brower; grandchildren, Jake, Jessica, Kendra, Kody and Kole Brower; great-grandchildren, Brynley and Barrett Brower; and sister, Juanita (Bunny) Hall.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents and husband.
