Deborah "Debbie" Sue Pond, 64, of Milan passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at home.

Debbie was born on January 14, 1959 in Janesville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Robert and Mary Anderson. She married Gary Pond on November 14, 1981 in Moline, IL. Debbie graduated with honors from Black Hawk College with a degree in Business Management. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa while at Black Hawk. Debbie worked at Wonder Bread for over 20 years before retiring to help as the bookkeeper and accountant for Gary Pond Appliance Repair.

Debbie's hobbies included traveling to warm climates with her husband, spending time with her dogs, listening to music, and enjoying retirement by spending time with friends and family. Debbie will be missed by all and will always be remembered for her spicy exterior.

Those left to cherish Debbie's memory include her husband, Gary; daughter, Maria (Cole) Johnsen; and sister, Julie Ray.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Joshua Robert Pond; and brothers, Darrell Wayne Anderson and Robert Anderson Jr.

As Debbie wished, cremation rites have been accorded and no services are to be held. Memorials may be made in Debbie's name to Rescued, Moline. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting the family.
