Debra Kay Vazquez, 65, of Davenport, died Saturday, April 20, 2024 at The Ivy at Davenport.  A visitation will be from 1-3 pm Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island.  Cremation rites will follow.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Debra was born at home in Mercer County, Illinois on August 17, 1958, a daughter of Harvey L. and Edna M. Merreighan Mead.  She graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 1976.  Debra married Leonardo Salas Vazquez in Davenport, Iowa on August 18, 1980.

Debra was a proud homemaker.  She enjoyed playing BINGO, crocheting, cross stitching and a variety of other arts and crafts.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Leonardo; children, Lisa (Kader) Vazquez, Columbus, Ohio, Mark Anthony Vazquez, Tammy (Albert) Vazquez-Phillips and Joey Matthew Vazquez, all of Davenport, Iowa; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers, Robert "Bobby" Mead and Marvin Mead, both of Rock Island.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Donna Antu, Elaine Fuller and Harvey Mead Jr.
