Delia Ramos, 76, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday February 18, 2015 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:30am Monday at Templo De Alabanza, Moline. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-6:00pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be left for the family, for a fund to be established at a later date.
Delia was born March 2, 1938 in Los Indios, TX, the daughter of Tomas and Ramona (Gonzalez) Longoria. She married Fernando Ramos on March 17, 1956 in Cameron County, TX.
She had been employed at Millard Maintenance for over 45 years.
Mrs. Ramos was a member of Spanish Mennonite Church, Davenport. Delia was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her loved to garden and was a excellent cook.
Survivors include her children, Fernando (Emma) Ramos, Gloria Shofner, Rudy (Maria) Ramos, Maricela Ramos, Elizabeth (Blas) Soto, Ruth Ramos, Marina (Jonell) Ramos; grandchildren, Fernando R. Ramos, Regina A. Shofner, Tomas Ramos, Denise R. Shofner, Rodolfo Ramos Jr., Melissa N. Neece, Angelica Tristan, Dorisa Podoba, Jose Ramos, Josue Ramos, Joel Ramos,
Alejandro Cantu Jr. , Michelle Ramos, Laura Soto, Anthony C. Ramos,
Esteban Cantu, Robert W. Kephart, Noemi Soto , Matthew R. Kephart,
Rachel Soto, Rebecca Ramos, Jacob Kephart, Zachary N. Ramos,
Breanna Ramos; 28 great grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Raquel, Olga, Aroldo, Jose, Isaiah and Adan.
She was preceded in death by husband; parents; and brother, Baltazar.
