Demetrius DeLane Washington-Adams, 32, of Lexington, Ken., passed away December 4, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington.

A memorial visitation and celebration of Demetrius' life will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and

Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island, followed by a memorial service to begin at 2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Demetrius was born October 30, 1986 in Rock Island, Ill., a son of George D. Adams and Anetra Washington.

He was a sales representative for True Green. Previously, he was an assistant manager with Red Lobster in Memphis.

Demetrius enjoyed music, dancing and bowling.

Surviving are his father, George D. Adams, and his wife Mona, of Davenport, Iowa; mother, Anetra Washington-Owens, and her husband

Virgil, Lexington, Ken.; his brother, Aarian  Washington; sister, Patrice Buckner; maternal grandmother, Mary Holmes, and her

husband Ezel, Eldridge, Iowa; paternal step grandmother, Pearlie Adams,Milan; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Demetrius was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
