Denise M. Smith, 45, of Galesburg, IL, passed away Tuesday February 23, 2016 in Rock Island.

Services will be held at a later date in Galesburg by her family.

Denise was born August 9, 1970 in Galesburg, IL, a daughter of Oliver "Ollie Roy" Smith and Naomi Campbell Smith. She graduated from Galesburg High School, where she enjoyed playing sports.

She was a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Galesburg. She loved to sing at the church.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her mother, Naomi Riedi, and father, Ollie Roy Smith, both of Galesburg; children, Jerimiahe, Miracle and Zacheriah Smith; brother, Charles Campbell, of Rock Island; sisters, Carol Smith and Cynthia Smith, both of Davenport, and Felicia Smith, of Galesburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and additional family.
