Dennis A. Swinford Jr., 35, of Sherrard, passed away Tuesday February 13, 2018 as the result of a vehicle accident.

Funeral services will be 10am Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 1-5pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Preemption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for the family.

Dennis was born on December 9, 1982 in Moline, the son of Dennis and Dianne "Hope" (Harkey) Swinford.

He was a graduate of Sherrard High School in 2001 and later from Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, Phoenix.

Mr. Swinford was employed with Fun Mart Cycle Center, Moline for the last 19 years. He recently had the opportunity to travel the country with Arena Cross as a mechanic.

Dennis was a member of the Preemption United Methodist Church. He loved being a step father and uncle, karaoke, motorcycle racing, 4 wheelers and snowmobiles. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was always up for some fun.

Survivors include his parents, Dennis and Hope, Aledo; sister, Katie (Joe) Stone, Aledo; God sister, Kim(William) Jones, Arkansas; significant other, Anna Perrine, Sherrard and her children, Brandon, Logan and Kayleb; special friend, Nathan; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
