Dennis M. Wahlheim, 63, of Rock Island, passed away at his home on September 6, 2017.  Dennis was born in Duluth, Minnesota on September 12, 1953. He is survived by son Gregory (Ellen) Wahlheim and grandchildren Sophia and Caleb Wahlheim and was predeceased by his mother, Vera Wahlheim and his father, Alfred Bohy. Memorial/Celebration of life services will be held at a later date.

Dennis recently retired from ALCOA as a safety coordinator. He was an extremely hard worker and very detail-oriented with everything he did. He loved life, family and friends. No one was a stranger to Dennis. He loved talking to anyone and treated everyone with kindness and respect. He had a unique sense of humor and we loved him for it! He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.

His passion was the QC Mallards and was a very proud season-ticket holder! He was a true gift giver with his family and friends.

He loved his pets over the years! He had a strong interest in science and also loved listening to the music of the local bands, open-mic, going to concerts and just enjoying a good meal with friends.

Dennis was a friend to all and it was a true honor to know him. He will be greatly missed! Happy birthday dad!
