Denny L. Horton, 52, of Milan, died Sunday, August 30, 2015 at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be Thursday from 11-1 p.m. at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. There will be no services. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Denny was born in Rock Island on December 23, 1962, a son of Delbert Sr. and Minetta Gerjets Horton.

Denny enjoyed scrapping and was an avid outdoorsman.

Survivors include his significant other of 25 years, Lisa Holloway, Milan; children, Minetta-Kay Mockmore Horton, Muscatine and Denny Allen Mockmore Horton, Ely, Iowa; grandson, Cael Lee Mockmore; sisters, Diana (Mark Penry) Weed, Rock Island and Denise Horton, Milan; brothers, Delbert (Tesi Norris) Horton Jr., Rock Island and Darin (Rebecca Klopfenstein) Horton, Peoria; special nephew, Chad (Cara) Horton, Milan; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents.
