Deondra Yvette Roberts, 58, of Rock Island, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Monday, September 9, 2024, at Olivet Baptist Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) Monday, September 9, 2024, at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.
Deondra was born July 26, 1966, in Rock Island, to Colunious and Eria (Flucas) Roberts. She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1984 and attended Black Hawk College, Moline, IL and Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA. Deondra worked at Dohrn's, Rock Island, IL and most recently was a manager at Dollar General, Powder Springs, GA. She formerly attended Olivet Baptist Church in Rock Island. Deondra was an avid music connoisseur and loved singing. She also enjoyed playing games on her tablet, writing poetry, beading, reading, and visiting with her cousins, family members, and friends.
Those left to cherish Deondra's memory include her son, Cameron Roberts (A'Shante Clay); grandchildren, Hallelujah Khalil Roberts and Karma Unique Clay; mother, Eria Roberts; brother, Colunious "Cal" Roberts; aunts and uncles, Charles and Renee Flucas, Flossie Hollie, Brenda Hickman (Rich Kisner), Henry Flucas, and Joe Lee and Zelma Roberts; and a host of cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Deondra was preceded in death by her father, Colunious; grandparents, Roy and Mary Ola Roberts, and Mary Dell and Eugene Flucas; and uncle, Lee Gene Flucas.
