Obituary

Diane Lynn Hennessey, of Sherrard, was reunited with the love of her life, Vic, on June 14, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at Grace Church, Rock Island on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 11am. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. The family will receive friends and loved ones at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 4 pm to 7 pm. Memorials may be made to the Gilda's Club of the Quad Cities.

Diane was born on July 11, 1943, the daughter of Ruth and Carl Munch. She married Vic Hennessey on July 29, 1961. Diane was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt. She was a lifelong member of South Park Presbyterian Church, where she and Vic served as deacons for many years.

Diane is survived by her son, Timothy (Alisha) Hennessey, grandchildren, Lindsey Curcio, Katherine (Tyler) Lane, Ryan Wilson, Megan (Ryan) Scott, Chip (Tristin) Hennessey, Ashley (Thomas) Bolton, Cole Hennessey, Paige (Alex) Scherf, step-grandchildren, Lexi Kregel, Riley Kregel, and Lily Kregel, and brother, Michael (Joy) Munch. As she so often said, Diane had a "productive bunch" of grandchildren, who brought seventeen great-grandchildren into her life. Diane is also survived by countless beloved nieces and nephews, as well as neighbors and friends that she adored. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vic Hennessey, her daughter, Amy (Hennessey) Wilson and her sister, Karen (Munch) Lehan.
