Diania Lee Houston, 71, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday December 8, 2015 at Rock Island Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Rock Island.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Second Baptist Church, Rock Island, where visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday. Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Arrangements are entrusted to Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church for their Family Life Center or to the family.
Diania was born July 31, 1944 in Rock Island, Illinois, to Edward W. and Maurine Anson Houston. She graduated from Rock Island High Senior High School in 1962. From there she worked at Modern Woodmen, Rock Island. She also worked at Cleveland-Butts Insurance Company.
Diania had served as secretary at Second Baptist Church in Rock Island, where she always was an active member of the Church Choir and member of the church for many years.
She leaves to celebrate her life and memory, two sisters, Marie Ellis (Tommy) Lindsey, of Atlanta, GA, and Patricia Bohanan, Davenport, IA. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and her longtime friend, Dorothy (Bobby) Wilson.
Diania was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Maurine Houston; two brothers, Lyle A. Houston and James Edward Houston; and one sisters, Regina Foy.
