Doloras K. Mincer, 86, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday April 4, 2015 at St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehab, Rock Island.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30am Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be left to St. Joseph Evening Meal.
Doloras was born on July 13, 1928 in Rock Island, the daughter of Walter and Mae (Long) Ewert. She married Burl Mincer on December 29, 1951. He preceded her on April 27, 1997.
Mrs. Mincer had been employed for over 20 years at the former Freelands, Rock Island.
Doloras was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island and the former St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rock Island, she served as a greeter at both churches and was active with the St. Joseph Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed spending time with her family, board games and her membership in the Rock Island Moose Lodge.
Survivors include her daughters, Denise Martin, Davenport, Jolene (Gary) Mundt, East Moline; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and a sister, Margaret Dusenberry, Rock Island.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Kenneth Mincer, Robert Mincer; sister, Virginia Motola and one grandson.
