Donald "Butch" Eugene Boyd, 71, of Rock Island, pass away Saturday October 18,2014 at Unity Point Health - Trinity, Rock Island.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday October 28, 2014 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island. Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island following the service. Memorials may be made to the family.

Donald was born September 18, 1943 in Rock Island, the son of Leonard and Susan (Northern) Boyd. He was employed by John Deere Inc. as a trucker. Donald enjoyed helping others with their handy work. He will be truly missed and remembered for his thoughtfulness and caring nature, you couldn't ask for a better friend or brother.

Donald is survived by his two daughters Yevette and Sonja Boyd; his four sisters, Sharon (Michael) Payton, Marilyn (Raymond) Robbins, Beverly Taylor, and Shirley Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers, Leonard Boyd Jr. and Wayne Boyd; and his sister Charlotte Boyd.
