Donald Edward Kenney, 80, of Rock Island, died Monday, December 29, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, where military honors will be conducted. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Donald was born in Rock Island on January 26, 1934, a son of William O. and Viola E. Leffler Kenney. He married Phyllis Waters on May 3, 1987 in Moline. They later divorced.

Donald enjoyed playing Bunco, Euchre and Bingo. Every now and then he even enjoyed a trip to the casino.

Survivors include his daughter, Rebecca Kenney, Portland, Ore.; two grandchildren; sister, Beverly Turner, Decatur, Ga.; and significant other, Mary Ann Battin, Rock Island.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William Kenney Jr. and two sisters, Ruth Smith and Betty Gibbons.
