IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donald M.
Krouse
November 29, 1959 – December 29, 2022
Donald Krouse, 63, Snellville, GA, originally of Milan, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be held an hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Preemption Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Preemption Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
Donald was born on November 29, 1959 in Moline, IL, the son of Marvin and Joanne (Wakefield) Krouse. He married Sharon Love on August 14, 1982, in Santa Anna, CA. Donald was a proud verteran serving in the Marine Corps, where he became top marksman in his platoon. After he served our country, he learned the craft of locksmith, which was his profession for many years. Don loved adventure, he camped in the mountains, and he learned to dive in the Pacific Ocean. He collected and refurbished guns and knives, while also designing hand-made leather holsters. He traveled with a Buffalo Bill Western Show where all his clothing and guns had to be authentic 1860's. His artistic works were also in designing furniture and glass gazebos. Don helped put up hay, and helped with farming. During that time, he saved the life of his nephew Mike, while working with the animals by putting himself in harm's way. Don loved his family and always had great plans when they came to see him. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Donald is survived by his wife, Sharon Krouse; mother, Joanne Krouse; sisters, Dianne (Alan) Snell and Cherie (Douglas) Johnson; nieces and nephews, Michael (Amy) Snell, Maureen (Cory) Storm, Andrew (Jennifer) Johnson, Samuel (Rebecca) Johnson, Daniel (Shawna) Johnson, and James (Jacclyn) Johnson; and other extended family members. Preceded by his father.
