Donald "Donnie" Loren Lowry Jr., 59, of Rock Island, formerly of Lake City, FL, passed away on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline, IL.

As per Donnie's request, cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo, IL. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Donnie was born on Feb. 6, 1955 in Moline, IL to Donald L. Sr. and Sylvia Joyce Stevenson Lowry.

Donnie was a loving kind hearted person who would help out anybody in need and will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

He is survived by a brother, Wally Lowry, Florida; a sister-in-law, Carol Lowry, Kentucky; three nephews, Keith, Chris, Clint Lowry; three great-nieces and one great-nephew. Also survived by several cousins from the Parr, Petersen, and Stevenson Families.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard "Richie" Keith Lowry; two aunts, Shirley Parr and Barbara "Pat" Petersen; two uncles, Kermit A. Stevenson and Kenneth Stevenson Jr.
