Donald G. Morrison, 80, of Milan, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 surrounded by family at his home.  Funeral services for Mr. Morrison will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Two Rivers United Methodist Church, Rock Island.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at church.  Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.  Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, the Rock Island-Milan Education Foundation, or Two River United Methodist Church.

Donald was born on March 11, 1936 in Cincinnati, Iowa, a son of W. Glen and Ruth V. Weldon Morrison.  Donald graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  He married Janice R. Holtz on May 28, 1961 in Clinton, Iowa.  Don was a talented Entrepreneur, Electrical Engineer and Inventor.  He founded Morrison Weighing Systems and operated the business with his wife, Janice, for over 53 years.

Donald was very active at Two Rivers United Methodist Church, serving in the past as a lead usher and a member of the Methodist Men.  Donald and his wife also served on numerous church committees.  He greatly enjoyed playing tennis, golfing, travel and spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janice; daughter, Diane (Johan) Feddema, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada; son, David (Charlotte) Morrison, Rock Island; grandchildren, Claire Feddema and Wynn Feddema; brother, Neal (Patty) Morrison, Goreville, IL; sister,  Jean Morrison, Cincinnati, Iowa and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Allan Morrison
