Donald L. Pulis, 76, of Sherrard, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016 at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island.  Funeral services for Donald will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Cable Cemetery.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Donald Leon Pulis was born on July 9, 1940 in Aberdeen, SD, the son of Leon and Ethel Varland Pulis.  After graduating high school, Don enlisted in the U.S. Navy.  In 1969, he married Marilyn Jean Johnson in Rock Island.  She passed away on May 13, 1985. Don worked as a Machinist at Case IH for over 20 years.  He retired early in order to pursue his life's passion of farming full time.  Don loved everything about farming and savored all of the time spent on his farm.  He was a great horseman, who loved spending time riding horses with his wife, Marilyn, at his side.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Sandra Johnson, Nevada, Lori Walton, Iowa, Marjorie Walton, Illinois, Lisa Millikin, Indiana, Doreen Pulis, Illinois and Diana Pulis, Iowa; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn and his parents.
