Donell Hollon, 68, of Taylor Ridge, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026 at UP Trinity, Rock Island surrounded by her loving family.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Andalusia Cemetery. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home is assisting her family with arrangements. Memorials can be made to Andalusia Volunteer Ambulance Service.

Donell was born November 23, 1957 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of George Deem and Helen “Peggy” Van Pelt. She married Michael Hollon on September 6, 2007 in Rock Island.

Donell owned, operated and retired from the Styling Nook in Andalusia after 40 years. Golfing was her favorite hobby. She also enjoyed gardening and was an avid sports fan. Her family was her world, and she never missed any activities they were involved in.

Survivors include her husband, Mike; daughter, Melissa DeVries, Elk River, MN; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Andrew DeVries; sister, Mindy (Mike) Hamilton, Coal Valley; brothers, James Deem, Andalusia and Donald (Dawn) Deem, Andalusia; lifelong friend, Donna (Gary) Price, Reynolds and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
