Donna A. Allman, 92, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday June 22, 2014 at her residence.

Private family services will be held, with burial at Rock Island National Cemetery. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island, is helping the family with arrangements.

Donna was born February 7, 1923 in Eldon, IA, the daughter of Vern and Helen Hughes. She married Richard Allman in Ottumwa, IA in 1944. He preceded her in death in 1991.

Donna was a member of the Church of Peace, Rock Island. She enjoyed doing volunteer work for the Senior Quad-City Olympics, the Red Cross, Festival of Trees, Angel Tree, RSVP Council, the Quad-City Times Plus 60 Club and did mailing for Trinity West and Trinity Medical Center's 7th Street Campus, Moline.

She will be remembered by her son Dennis Allman, Moline; three grandchildren Tim, Ric, and Dan Allman; one great grandchild Haley Allman. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard; her parents; her sister Maxine Ternoey; and her brother Mahlon Hughes.
