Donna J. Clay-Ramsey, 73, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 21st, at Gospel Mission Temple, Davenport, with visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to Gospel Mission Temple, Davenport.

Donna was born December 17, 1943 in Mexico, Missouri, the daughter of Barstel Henderson and Helen Smith. She married her longtime companion Albert L. Ramsey, Jr. on December 6, 2017 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2017.

In earlier years, Donna worked at the Hotel Davenport. She then worked for Seaford Clothing for 35 years. Currently she was employed with Johannes Bus Service, Rock Island.

Donna gave her life to the Lord and became a member of Gospel Mission Temple, Davenport. She enjoyed league bowling for many years at Town and Country, Rock Island, and caring for her pet dogs "Rocky" and "Emma".

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ada (Roy) Wilson, Rock Island, Eileen Clay, St. Paul, Minn., Shirley Clay, Rock Island, Raymond (Kelly) Clay, Rock Island, and Donald (Jackie) Clay, St. Paul, Minn.; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and her niece, Lola Clay, Boston, Mass; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bobbie Jean Tucker, Satin, TX, Shirley (Roland) Martin, San Francisco, Calif., Ruby Clay, San Francisco, Nina Clay, Fairfield, Calif., Douglas (Karen) Clay, Burlington, Iowa, and Louise, Jerry, Larry, Tyson, Remona, Anthony, Rena and Regina; and special "sister", Eva (Leroy) McDowell, Davenport, IA.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Eugene Clay, Sr.; mother, Helen Clay; daughter, Helen Denise Clay; and her stepbrother, Freddie Eugene Clay, Jr.
