Donna L. DeFauw, 84, of Rock Island passed away peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Park Vista Retirement Living, East Moline.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made in care of the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Donna was born on December 6, 1938 in Rock Island, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Darwin) Newton. She married Julius W. DeFauw on June 12, 1959 in Rock Island. Donna worked in customer service at Mediacom for 22 years before retiring. She was an avid knitter, always making afghans for special occasions.

Survivors include her children, Julius W. (Debra) DeFauw Jr, Bettendorf, Tamara A. DeFauw-Smith, Iowa City, and Timothy (Wendi) DeFauw, Rock Island; grandsons, Aaron, Jonathan, and Evan DeFauw; and granddaughters, Tatiana Smith and Sarah DeFauw.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Harold Newton.
