Donna J. Long, 84, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Overlook Village, Moline. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Memorial Christian Church, Moline.

Donna was born on February 12, 1939, in Kinsley, Kansas, a daughter of Carl and Velna (McVey) Livengood. She married Donald C. Long on July 6, 1958, and he preceded her in death on January 29, 2022. Donna worked alongside her husband for over 23 years, helping to run their business, Long's Carpet and Interior in Rock Island.

Donna was a very active member of Memorial Christian Church in Moline, where she served as an elder and as a youth leader. She was also a scout leader and a member of the Rock Island Beautification Council. Her hobbies included playing cards, sewing, traveling, and reading. Although Donna's greatest joy came from spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish Donna's memory include her children, Rodney (Louise) Long, Taylor Ridge, Daniel (Barbara) Long, Sherrard, Amy (James) Lauterbach, Rock Island, and Jeffrey (Luisa) Long, River Forest, IL; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and sisters, Emma Jean Dorbeck, Rock Island, and Melba (Jesse) Andereck, Rock Island.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ricky Dean Livengood; sister, Wanda Pike; and brother in laws, William Pike and Richard Dorbeck.
