Donna Marie (Merridith) Green, 82, a resident of Surprise, Arizona died Tuesday, January 2, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. Donna is survived by her children, Chris (Jane) Fink, Kevin (Michelle) Fink and Suzanne (Vince) Ackerman; step-daughter, Teri (Tom) Bair; grandchildren, Stephen Fink, Ashley (Phil) McDonald, Jason Fink, Robert Fink, Izabella Bair, Alyssa Ackerman and Zachary Ackerman; great grandchildren, Kyler, Penelope, Maci, Aspyn and Briar McDonald; her brother, Gary (Jan) Merridith; and niece, Kimberly Merridith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Wilma (Crogaert) Merridith; aunt, Lucille (Frank) Sodaro; and cherished grandmother, Mary Edwards. The family would like to additionally recognize Ashley and Phil McDonald and Anne (Schiller) and Jarrod Etheridge for their loving care of mom over the last two years as her struggle with dementia became more pronounced. Donna loved spending time with her family and her dogs. She enjoyed helping plan her RIHS Class of 1959 Reunions, bowling, traveling and watching her grandchildren's sports and activities, especially softball. Upon moving to Arizona, she enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren and being part of their daily lives. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Benevilla-Mary's Place Life Enrichment Program (www.benevilla.org/donate) where Donna was able to spend many of her final months singing, doing crafts and being active while she 'went to work.'

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.
