Donna J. Nesseler, 74, of Milan passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at home.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left in care of the family.

Donna Cook was born on January 11, 1948 in Rock Island, the daughter of Jack and Shirley (Gregg) Cook.

Donna graduated from Rock Island High School in 1966. She retired from the Rock Island Arsenal in 2003 with 35 years of federal service.

Donna would like to thank her childhood friends, Nancy Brown and Kathy Dobereiner, and former coworkers, Mary Garlough and Cathy Bigelow, for walking this journey with her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Rose Cook; and daughter-in-law, Diana Nesseler.

Those left to cherish her memory include her amazing caregiver and son, Brian; aunt, Elva Cook; nephews, Travis Cook and Brandon Hayden; niece, Mellisa Hayden; and several cousins.
