Donna M. Ramsdale, 83, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday September 16, 2015 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be 11am Monday September 21, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Island. Per her request there will be no visitation. Private burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to St. John's Lutheran Church or Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.
The former Donna Mae Karr was born on October 29, 1931 in Rock Island, the daughter of Violet and David Karr. She married Robert Ramsdale on March 26, 1954 in Rock Island.
Mrs. Ramsdale was a life member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Island, where she was active with the Altar Guild. Donna loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had enjoyed volunteering at her children's schools when they were young, completing crossword puzzles and reading.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Robert; children, Vicki Verschorre, Rock Island, Rev. William(Wendy) Ramsdale, Rock Island, Nan Ramsdale, Rock Island, Jan Kidwell, Rock Island; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and sister, Lauretta Scherschel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son in law, Mick Verschorre.
