Donna J. (Seibert) Klundt, 90, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to her family, whose love and kindness will be deeply missed.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and private inurnment will be held at Swedona Lutheran Cemetery. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Donna was born on November 15, 1935, to Nellie Gilbert and Joseph Mizlo. When Donna was four years old, her father passed away. Her mother later married Elmer Seibert, who adopted Donna. She graduated from Bettendorf High School.
Donna married John Ronald Gustafson in 1954 at Swedona Lutheran Church in Swedona, Illinois. Following John's passing, she married Melvin Klundt in 1967 at Beulah Presbyterian Church, although that marriage later ended in divorce. Donna remained a devoted mother, raising her five children, and her favorite child was definitely Kevin. She worked for Jaydon, Inc. until her retirement.
Donna found happiness in painting, crafting, gardening, and reading. She especially treasured time spent with her family, whether attending family gatherings, visiting with cousins, or making lasting memories with her grandchildren, no matter the distance.
Those left to cherish Donna’s memory include her children, Barbara (Gary) Carlson, Lynn Coon, Karen Bemis, Melanie (Dan) Doudna, and Kevin (Ann) Klundt; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Ronald Gustafson; sisters, Frances (Larry) Duskin, and Sharon (Sam) DeMeyer; and her beloved canine companion, Lisa.
