Doris Veronica Forcade, 91, of Milan, Illinois, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on January 24, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, Doris lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to her community.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. A rosary will follow the visitation at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Friends and family will be welcomed to pay their respects as we celebrate Doris's vibrant spirit and the legacy she leaves behind. Memorials may be left in care of the family.

She was an active member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Doris demonstrated her commitment to community service as a two-time president of the Milan American Legion Auxiliary, a member of the VFW Auxiliary, and a member of Eight & Forty. Her unwavering spirit and generous heart touched the lives of many.

She is survived by her loving daughter and son, Lois Pedersen and William "Bill" Pedersen. Doris also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, Heather Ehlers, Nicole Patterson, Tara Woeckener, Christopher Ehlers, CJ Kupcek, William Pedersen, Caroline Pedersen, Leann Hillburn, Jack Hillburn, Jessica Stogsdill, and Troy Stogsdill; numerous great-grandchildren; and her dear siblings, Mary Sutherland and Paul Lemajaur, as well as a niece and a nephew.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Louise (Shaw) Crosby; beloved husband, Billy Forcade; cherished children, Robert Pedersen and Lynn Girard (Ehlers); and loved grandson, Shawn Pedersen.

Doris Veronica Forcade will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
