Doris Sallee, 86, of Rock Island, formerly of rural Galesburg, passed away Saturday April 27, 2019 at UPH Trinity, Rock Island.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm Thursday May 2, 2019 at Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Graveside services will follow at 1:30pm Thursday in Mosher Cemetery, Warren County. Memorials may be left to the Rock Island Humane Society.

Doris was born on February 17, 1933 in Rock Island, the daughter of Charles and Selma Snyder. She married J. Rex Sallee on March 29, 1981 in Coldbrook Christian Church. They were married 35 years until he preceded her in death on May 24, 2016.

Doris had been a homemaker. She loved animals, especially her cats.

Survivors include her children, Steve Drovesky, Milan, Joan (James) Maston, Rock Island, Tom (Luann) Drovesky, Cannon Falls, MN, Jeff Sallee, Lynn Center; grandson, Leaf Maston and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex and her parents.
