Dorothy A. Armstrong, 92, Milan, formerly of Reynolds, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Avonlea Cottage, Milan.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 801 Edgington St., Reynolds. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Preemption Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Reynolds Methodist Church, Alzheimer's Association, or the Reynolds Fire Department.

Dorothy was born August 1, 1922, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of William and Maude (Herring) Hall. She married Dale Armstrong on December 21, 1941 in Davenport, IA. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, and golfing.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Witry, Karen (Jerry) Gillett, and Cindy (Roger) Sanders; grandchildren, Barbara Hoffman, Kathy Jahn, Joe and Katie Witry, Amy and Eric Sanders, and Lisa Roos; great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Lauren, Andrea, Tyler, Lucy Cate, Witry, Karie, Brian, and Mason; step-grandchildren, Jacey, Nick, Haylie, and Abbie; sister, Ruth Bracking; and her special friend Donald Hofer. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Armstrong; parents; brother, Fred Hall; sister, Pat Lopez; granddaughter, Maggie; and son-in-law, Joe Witry.
