Dorothy Coulson,94, of Moline, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Cedarhurst Memory Care, Moline.

Livestream Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday March 6, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 5:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Unity Point Hospice.

Dorothy was born February 25, 1929 in Rock Island, the daughter of William and Nellie (Harrison) Elliott. She graduated from Rock Island Senior High School in 1946.

She retired from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline as a production control clerk for 38 years, and worked another 25 years in Customer Service at South Park Moline. She was a member of ABWA for over 50 years, being recognized as Woman of the Year as well as Chapter President. Dorothy had been an active member at Fifteenth Avenue Christian Church, Rock Island. She loved being surrounded by family, friends, beautiful things and music.

Survivors include her children, Greg (Lynn) Hockett, Davenport; Diane Block, Andalusia; grandchildren: Kristin (Drew) Berrie, Bettendorf; TJ Hockett, Davenport; Meredith (Matt) Ash, Davenport; Herb Morgan III, Andalusia; and Melanie (Scott) Becker, St. Louis Park, MN; and several great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cedarhurst Memory Care for their compassion and care for Dorothy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nellie; brothers Ed Elliott and Jim Elliott; and sister, Ellen Hockett.
