Dorothy E. Sprung, 69, of East Moline, Ill., passed away Sunday April 28, 2019 at Aperion Care, East Moline.

Graveside services are 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.

Dorothy was born December 14, 1949 in Rock Island, Illinois, a daughter of Dwight O. Rodgers and Evelyn Peterson Rodgers. She graduated from Rock Island High School. She married Frank J. Sprung. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1989.

Prior to her retirement, Dorothy worked at Alcoa. She was a member of the MG car club, and loved to travel. She was raised in the catholic faith.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Frank (Corrina) Sprung, Jr., Moline, Ill., and Christopher (Linsay) Sprung, East Moline, Ill.; grandchildren, Alexia Sprung, Archer Sprung, Uriah Sprung and Eben Doyle; siblings, Paul Rodgers, Rock Island, Ill., Jill Amoni, Aurora, Ill. and George Rodgers, Fallbrook, Calif.; several nieces, nephews, and additional family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dwight and Evelyn Rodgers and her infant brother, Guy Douglas Rodgers.
